Hi. Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find it. If I have a broad match key phrase consisting of 2 words, for example broad match, does my ad show if someone searches for 'broadmatch'? What about 'broadmatching'?
It probably differs from keyword combination to keyword combination, as there aren't any exact global rules on how Google interprets broad matches From my own experience: 'broadmatch' <-- Yes, your add will be shown 'broadmatching' <-- Nope, likely not But my advice: just add both of these variations as separate keywords if you expect them to bring some decent amount of traffic. This way you'll receive some extra insight and data (CTR, CPC, maybe Conversion data, etc...), which can only be useful when trying to optimize your campaigns
Zaya24, yes. My recommendation is to avoid broad match whenever possible. Unless you have the time and vigilance to build in lots of negative keywords. Use phrase match, unless you really are targeting specifically.
That's right, broadmatch done wrong can burn through a lot of money. Phrases are often the way to go in my opinion.
