There is absolutely no difference. Both of them can rank well if you will work on SEO enough. Google will not recognize if the page was created by weblog script and mod rewrite or by you in notepad Another question is what type of website is easier to rank. If you create static webpage you can easy control all the on-page factors. When using blog like wordpress you will need spend some time to show meta tags in the way you want. But as soon as you will do all the scripting you can continue with content building more quickly comparing with building static pages.
The difference is little or null, the question is whether the site is very well "coded", while we already know the benefits of wordpress ...
There is no difference really, there is just one little tiny advance that blogs have. You can easily create more pages and create a better internal linking structure (more pages within your site linking back to your sites homepage with your desired keyword), while with a static website that would be harder to achieve as you have to do everything manually. Aside that blogs have those lovely plugins that can ping search engines whenever there is a new post published by updating the sitemap.xml file etc etc... As you can see, its the usability in question here.
exactly.. wordpress rules when it comes to SEO. It has gr8 addons n plugins for enhancing the SEO aspects and pings popular servers immediately... and hence better results!
i prefer blog because we can upate the blog any time with seo rich keywords in article and if we update daily we will have more traffic from S.E which plays mai8n role in SEO.
When google crawl through website's it didn;t know what is blog and what is website...a personalised blog is also taken up as a website, thus you do not need to worry for this regarding promotion... for promoting a blog is same as promoting a website, thus try to build as much links as you can and also spend more time on your blog to improve it more and more with time....... hope this might help you
I was thinking of asking this exact same question myself three days ago. I did a lot of search on the forums and came up with a few good threads on this topic. Here they are: The importance of wordpress tags in SEO Wordpress SEO tips How can I SEO my blog How to add h1 and title tags in Wordpress Need help adding h1 tag Hmmm... I think I am going to bookmark this post myself now that I have all the info in one location.
often times, a blog IS a website. if you are asking 'are blogs looked on favorably by the search engines'... well. Despite their protestations, google DOES look favorably on blogspot blogs. It also looks favorably on wordpress blogs, although that tend to be because most themes have good easily spidered layouts.
blogs have an ever changing structure which messes with ranking power, and cannot generally be fine tuned at page level to the same levels static sites can. you're always at the mercy of a template system and various side effects of your configuration and plugins that you're probably not even aware of. that said, blogs have major SEO advantages of their own in different ways. the strongest setup is definitely a combination of both, I promise you
Blog or website makes no difference. Onpage SEO is what really matters So if you're a good coder and understand SEO - code your own site. Otherwise just choose WordPress and customize it to suit your needs.
Well, for me, it all depends on the way you link build your website or blog. Either you own a website or blog, it ranks depends on the quality of the links.
