Block keywords in a link unit?

Is there a way to block certain keywords from a link unit?

I have a horizontal link unit in the header and there is one key-phrase that I don't want to appear on my site, especially in the header. Is there any way to block it?

Blocking every URL that are related to that keyword should help...Although i never tried that! :/

I tried doing that and I still get ads I don't want. I'm too scared to click on the link units to find out what the domains are.

You don't have to be afraid just by that...As long as you don't click the ads you won't get banned by clicking the adlinks keywords...

in fact, it is common practise to click on the link units to see what kind of ads are being served.
i guess its much more direct and convenient as opposed to having a sandbox to preview the ads

I will have to disagree. I did it once and this added like $5 to my account.
You had to see me then "running" to my email to write to google that I made a mistake to click them

Are you sure the offending $5 did not come from elsewhere? As far as what has been documented, the link units only earn you money if you click twice. Once at the link units, then second at a specific ad. Clicking only once does nothing to your account except increase your page impressions.

    I am serious.
This was at the start of one of my sites and I wanted to check what ads are hiding behind those AdLink units so I clicked. I did not click on the actual ads though.
Then I wrote to AdSense support and they replied with the regular "do not click on the ads" email.

Clicking the adlinks don't make any money. A sponsors page appears when you click once. And when you click on it again, that click will count.

pixads.. why dont u email google and ask them whether clicking on the adlink links gets you any money... if they say no.. then ask them if its ok to just click on it to check out the ads being served.. hehe :)

I think I get paid for link ad clicks too.
I use channels, so I can tell.
