I've made a few dollars with adsense but nothing large enough to get excited about. I would love to know more or have someone help me out. Anyone interested, pm me

My goals are small (at least to start with), I want to hit $10/day.

    Thanks

i've only been in this game since mid december but progress has been amazing
i've been so excited about it and have been tellin friends that it really works! but i've found that the majority of people are uninterested or think that there are strings attached.

I'm currently helping a friend gettin started with adsense at the moment, and he's a really open minded person. So I guess people need to be open minded :)

I don't think anyone tells each other about their Adsense secrets or techniques. If they did, that would effect and interfere with their earnings! :p

Is everyone making 6 figure incomes with adsense here or what?

Someone break it down to me. I'm one of, if not *the* quickest learner(s) you'll ever know.

I just joined adsense today as a matter o'fact. I want to 'get rich in the dark' too!

Check the How Much Did You Make With AdSense in March poll.

If you're that quick, you'll realize that everything you need to know is already written here, in the official AdSense FAQ, and in Nintendo's AdSense FAQ.

So you chose to be 'witty' in response. No problem.

    Let me add to this...
Once I am done with a site I am currently doing, I will sift through these FAQ's you mention, and see what I can gather.

I tell people my checks come from Google. They think I'm special or important or something  I don't usually explain PPC though. "I sell ad space" is something everyone can understand. That includes my Adsense, and the ads I sell directly (if you think explining Adsense is hard, try explining that people are willing to pay for links).

You must have a very intelligent mum to understand the whole concept. My mum is still trying to understand what exactly is a website. LOL
I keep trying to avoid that topic at the dinner table. :D

To this day, I still tell her that I'm building sites for others and there are real customers that I communicate with.

This is a very nice thread, it seems that most people have been experiencing what I've experienced so far.

    1) Tell some friends that they all start to "help" by clicking your ads
    2) Either that or we lose them somewhere in the middle of the conversation.

I think I'll heed Jim's suggestion and tell everyone that I'm selling ad space from now on and my customers are advertisers. :D

Regardless of exactly what you're doing, you're doing it right, so kudos to you on that.

heh, I thought I'd be able to pop myhead into this thread and get some sure-fire ways to get a head start, with explanation. ;)

Maybe in time, someone will be generous enough to shed light on the subject, and explain it to me, as they would another.

If someone would choose to do so -- > http://forums.digitalpoint.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=21186
I'm ready, willing, able and available :D

    Until then...

Everytime i tell someone how I make money through AdSense, they always ask, cant you just click your own ads every day and make heaps of money. It seems these are the type of people that shouldnt be in the web publishing business (adsense).

I speak to one guy from school through msnm and he is always trying to ask me if certain scams of his will work, his latest ingenius scam was for 2 people to setup mesothilimia (spelling?) sites and each click each others ads. the stupidity some people have is amazing, they think they will never get caught with these ideas.

I just tell anyone when I see that they are interested in a website first, or when they directly ask me for advice.
Everything else's just a waste of time.

I am from a country where around 5% people have access to internet. Very few out of those 5% know about adsense. and the ones who know are already on this forum.:) So, in my case, I want to tell people about it but don't have anybody to tell it to.:)

I certainly do share the fact that I make money from the placement of Google banners on my sites.
How else do you explain why you spend a freakish amount of time on the computer?:p
