What is the best advice you would give for a new person who wants to start using adwords? When I first started I spent a small fortune because adwords seemed so complicated and those keywords can add up QUICK! I am still learning but really wish I would have read more forums before I got started.
Hi, I'm too lazy to retype it... I just made a long post here on how to start using Adwords. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=96030
hi, I know I'm new here and I know I'll get some "wise" answers but how do you make money with ADWORD?? It seems like you pay to make a AD and thats about it...or do you need a product to sell, where the ad that you made brings people to buy your product. any feedback is greatly appreciated good or bad *I think I just made myself look like an ass*
adwords is used for you to advertise your site. You can advertise your prodcut (assume you have a page full of product to sell) or you can use it to advertise your content site. If you have a site and want to make money from it, you use ADSENSE. which used to make money when visitors click ads on yoursite.
hey thanks for the fast reply!! so I advertise my site using ADWORD to bring traffic to it, so I have a better chance of someone clicking my ADSENSE!! I SEEEEEEEE....its coming together now but why do you pay for ADWORD?
you pay for ADWORDS because you want the BIG G to be calm with your website and make them come up on the very first page with top rankings... provided you have good QUALITY adverts... GOOGLE adwords is not an easy game... you have to be very very clever, intelligent, and up to date with the GOOGLE.... all the very best...
Your best bet is going to be to go to the adwords site and click on help. Start at the beginning and read as much as you can.
My best advice would be for you to check out the keywords that you use on keyword tool providers like overture... Compare their prices and make sure you dont get ripped off ( competition is crazy these days ).
I think my advice is to remember to set your maximums and check on the account ever so often so you dont get hit by a huge bill. It all adds up this is expecially true if you do the site targetted campaign.
You may use specific, long keywords rather than general keywords. This way you can lower the pay-per-click value.
what do you mean exactly by compare the prices? as far as I know you can't see googles cpc only overtures.
It's all about conversion rates. Do the research on your market by finding what others conversion rates are (through forums) before spending money.
In my opinion, this is not what you wan't to do. This form of using arbitrage, i.e. using AdWords to drive traffic to pages with AdSense, is almost never profitable. You can use AdWords to drive traffic to pages selling products, or to pages with affiliate links, and hope to make a profit. For AdSense, you're better off finding less expensive (read: "free") forms of advertising. Sam
