Came across a post just below... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1267624 Has anyone tried this? can we really verify our accounts without the need for a credit card? (interested in hearing from Indian paypal users)
Unfortunately....NO! Indian users can only verify their paypal account through credit cards. There is no other alternative available...at least now. Regards, RightMan
Someone named Baskin has left a reply saying that he can now verify his account...and i think he is from India (since his "Location" says so) maybe i will call up paypal and ask them
PayPal verification using Bank accounts are not supported in all countried. If you are from USA then it is possible. Or else you have to use the credit or debit card to verify the paypal. Your debit should be valid to make online transactions.
Baskin has only mentioned about his intentions to do so and he has not at all confirmed that he was able to successfully verify his account! I have a verified account and so unfortunately, am not able to give it a try on my own... Regards, RightMan
You can't verify your indian paypal account using your indian bank account as far as my knowledge. You need a valid CC for that. DON.
I too have a verified account...but i am unable to make payments to godaddy since my vcc has expired and now with my domains expiring in the next four months i am frantically searching for a credit card. My bank says that i should have paid income tax at least for three years though their minimum age is 21 and no new bank will give me a credit card as soon as i open a new account... What about entropay? can i use my icici debit card to create an online visa card and use it?
Why don't you apply for addon credit card if your parents, brother or sister having one CC That is the easy way IMO. DON.
CC..its from a regional bank..though it is a visa card...maybe i will try it out then..will ask for a add-on card and see whether it works
