Rules Backlog of reported posts breaking the rules?

Just wondering how long it takes these days for reported posts to be dealt with by admin/mods. Seems like there must be a backlog with a response time of more than 24 hours. Is DP in need of more volunteers?

The moderation team is doing a good job of keeping current with the moderation queue at this time.

Moderators use their judgement regarding a reporting post and either act on report or rejecret acting on a reported post.

First of all, thank you very much for your reply Smyrl.

If I may ask... So how are you supposed to know what happened, when somebody has posted illegally and in violation of the rules but the post has not been deleted? I know in past long ago when this has happened in one of my threads, I got infractions for replying/responding to lies/slander. It usually just leads to a drawn out flame fight anyways, because if somebody is going to post slander online they have no regard for the law or settling issues amicably. So I have patiently waited with my report in, and also requested additional details (not expecting that I know how it goes) for my lawyer should I need to pursue this person legally.

    Thank you very much.
    -Mike.

You will not receive a response from reports if that's what you are waiting for.

    Hey Shawn,

No, I didn't think so, and no I wasn't waiting for a response, just waiting for the post that is in violation of the rules to be removed from my thread, and wondering if I should be responding to it. I doubt you want that because clearly he has a chip on his shoulder and will turn into me posting skype chats, the other humans involved in the work we did for him getting their 2 cents in and so on. I have taken a screenshot for proof to provide should I need to pursue this person in court.

    Thanks Shawn.

No idea about the post in question, but if it's a personal dispute (sounds like maybe from what you posted), we don't get involved in disputes between members.
