    Yes, honor starts with integrity.

Integrity is what you do when no one is looking.

I remember some guys i was doing some work with...they owned a Mailbox Etc. (right before UPS turned them into UPS Stores)

Now what many do not know, is when going to such locations, UPS charges by DIMENSIONAL WEIGHT.

In otherwords irrespective of how much the package weighs, UPS creates the price based on the hieght, width and breadth of the package.

many people, if not the majority of people packed with boxes too large for the item.

also, people would pay them to pack items.

Once they charged the person, they would wait for the customer to leave and REPACKAGE or CUT DOWN the existing package.

they often times were charged by ups HALF AS MUCH...which in often times gave them double and sometimes TRIPLE the profit.

Instead of passing it on to customers, or at least advising them they could save money with a different package...they pocketed the difference!

They also ripped off several vendors, by charging back items or asking for refunds for the littlest things. In the end they ripped me off too! It was not the first time, but it was definitely the last time I got ripped off, believe me!

I learned that integrity is a character trait..and if they are dishonest with others, they are definitely dishonest with me.

THe same with a gossip...if a person tells you all about other people's business...believe they are telling others about yours!

If you cheat on your taxes, have different prices for different people at different times, if you lie or cheat....you have a lack of integrity.

If money is all that matters, no matter how you make it...you have a lack of integrity.

Drug dealers are very successful...but at the cost of human souls...that's a lack of integrity.

Start with the one in the mirror, make sure you are a man or woman of integrity, and then ONLY surround yourselves with like minded people.

as far as time for money...well thats another one of those "guru speak" catch phrases that are meaningless

    EVERYONE exchanges time for MONEY...EVERYONE

the difference is how that time is LEVERAGED.

You think Bill Gates and Donald trump just sit around and "let their money work for them"??

Thats ridiculous, and only those who have not made a lot of money believe such things are possible.

If you buy stock in Pepsi Cola...you have to KEEP UP WITHTHEM. Now u can LEVERAGE your time by having someone ELSE (like a manager/broker/planner) spend MOST OF THEIR own time managing your stock and market conditions
and then he reports to you so you spend LESS TIME personally...but you ALWAYS trade time for money...no other way.

The variable is HOW MUCH MONEY you get for your time.

my time makes me $150 each hour directly...much more indirectly with passive forms of income.

The guy at McDonalds time gets him 6.50/hr directly, and probably zero indirectly.

My Mentor gets $1000 each hour directly...and I am sure more indirectly.

    Hope this helps :)

    That makes so much sense.

The regular Joe makes money only when he spends his time doing it. The investor doesn't have to work as much as the person working at his 9-5 job because a part of his income comes in as he's sleeping. But to keep the cash flowing in the investor still has to put time and effort into maintaining his cash flow and investments.

Great post!:) Made a lot of sense to me.

Great Post, No matter how many times I have heard those same words they are still the foundation of success in starting and growing in business. When someone takes the time to lay out the fundementals in such detail you can tell they are a true leader and a natural teacher.

    Thanks Again

Funny that you list all those things to forget about, while in your website there's a huge add about "Guerilla Marketing Bootcamp with Jay Conrad Levinson".

But the article is good, made me move my brain around in my skull a bit, and that's all that matters in the end.

you might have missed the part saying those things are ALL IMPORTANT, but require the foundation of the 4 keys first ;)

I hear ya, and again, I think you have a lot to offer, and to quote another, "phenomenal advice".

But the real test is - can you keep your plug out of the bottom of every post you write? To a lot of folks in here that have some experience under our belts, it's just downright obvious.

Just calling a spade a spade...not trying to be offensive!

Seriously, all the best of luck to you :)

i understand, but i am not the spade you are accusing me of...so i do find that offensive

why don't you look at the date of the post in my signature

then look at the date of the post in this article

the signature changes AUTOMATICALLY and i have new offers in it every week

be sure to make sure its a spade you are calling a spade..then feel free to call it that.

some times it's not a spade, its a pick axe, which is much more useful but from a distance the uninformed my confuse it with a spade

We can never be reminded to often on methods of success, even after we are well on our way down the journey. (success is s journey not a destination)

    Thanks for the compliment.

OK, I need to build and execute on a marketing plan. Just off the cuff, I will answer the following questions:

    1. what is the goal?
    2. what is the timeline?
    3. what specific marketing tactics will I use to get there?
    4. how much will each of these tactics cost?
    5. how will I track the ROI of these tactics?
    6. what are my milestones along the way to reach the target?

What do you think? Am I missing something obvious? My background is not in marketing.

I see a couple key things missing

    what is my budget?

    who is the target audience?

What do I want them to do?

    what is your niche?

    what is your company's identity?

What language is necessary to use to express your identity to this niche in order for them to respond

how will i convince them to do what I want?

    etc...etc...etc

think less about what you have to offer, and more about what people want to get.
