The Google Ad on this page is huge: http://www.howtodothings.com/computers/a3415-how-to-make-your-computer-faster.html Also, the javascript looks way different.
Nope, not my browser because I brought this page up in every major browser. I'm talking about the Google ad just under the author's name (just below the title of the article) it is freaking huge. And yes, I reset my browser Zoom view. Look at the source code. The Adsense code is nothing like I've seen: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://partner.googleadservices.com/gampad/google_service.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript">GS_googleAddAdSenseService("ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"); GS_googleEnableAllServices();</script> <script type="text/javascript">GA_googleAddAttr("art_node", "43022");GA_googleAddAttr("page_type", "htdt_article");GA_googleAddAttr("art_pub_d", "2010-08");GA_googleAddAttr("art_auth", "6230");GA_googleAddAttr("art_cat_2", "2503");GA_googleAddAttr("art_cat_3", "2620");GA_googleAddAttr("art_cat", "2469");</script> <script type="text/javascript">GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-xx", "htdt6_article_content_mid_computers_728x250");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx", "htdt6_article_content_mid_computers_728x250");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-xxxxxxxx", "htdt6_article_content_top_left_computers_450x460");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-xxxxxxxx", "htdt6_article_footer_top_computers_728x250");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxx", "htdt6_article_footer_mid_computers_728x250");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-xxxxxxxxx", "htdt6_article_footer_bot_computers_728x250");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxx", "htdt6_article_header_computers_728x90");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-7579606133989673", "htdt6_article_left_col_top_computers_180x180");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-xxxxxxxxx", "htdt6_article_left_col_middle_computers_160x800");GA_googleAddSlot("ca-pub-xxxxxxxxx", "htdt6_article_left_col_bot_computers_160x600");</script> <script type="text/javascript">GA_googleFetchAds();</script> Code (markup):
That publisher it's an adsense premium publisher so they can modify the looks of the ads. I think you need to server around 1mil ads per day to become premium or something like this.
that site has a problem with the css file i think because the ads and the sites looks like there is no css. thats why it takes up 50% of the enter page
If you saw my thread earlier at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1977609, you'll find out that you can join a partnership with someone to have access to these formats (made a post about it here). We agreed on a specific benchmark/threshold and then split the earnings afterwards. I earnt much more after I put those sexy ads on
Actually this is similar like how Squidoo or Ehow or About share revenue, except that you are using your own URL, compared to setting up a page/lens/Web 2.0 property on their own site. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Oh, I guess so. I never invested any time in Squidoo or others that you mentioned. Do they give you options to add premium ad formats though?
