I am really putting all my efforts into making my latest creation a success and I am going to refuse to give up on this one as I have done with other projects when they haven't went the way that I was hoping that they would. Because of this I have found myself reading more useful blogs / forum posts and more and learning quite a bit as I go. What I am asking for in this thread is any advice that people can give me on how to market my forum to really get the traffic pilling in. I have begun adding it into directories and I am becoming more active on other forum communities so that my links in signatures will hopefully be clicked more. I look forward to reading any replies you guys may have for me.
One thing you could try is start a competition. You could offer people who post on your forum the chance to win cash. I got this idea from http://www.publisherforums.com/contestm which i use sometimes. Take a look there and try and get some ideas from there. -- Phil
Start by posting under different user names. I read how a person used this method successfully to get his forum going on DP in the past.
