How i was making over $1,000/mo after only 4 months

In the past you have probably seen my posts bragging about how i was making over $1,000 at my first try with a website, after only a few (4 to be exact) months - Today that same website is now making me over $3,000/month after about 9 months (that's $3k net - i dont spend money on advertising or anything like that)..

A few months back i mentioned (half jokingly) that someday i might throw-together an ebook outlining the specific steps I took that I think made my website successful so quickly, and MANY of you expressed interested in paying a few $ for that eBook if I ever got around to making it.

Well, today, as I was waiting for the installers to finish my new wood (sorry- "Pergo") flooring (thank you Adsense!) I had about 6 hours on my hands, so i finally did it - I sat down and threw together a simple ebook of all the things I did that i think made my site successful so quickly. There are no 'secrets', and it's not a get-rich-quick ebook. It's just a simple outline (12 pages) of the specific things I did, tools i used, etc, that I think helped get me to the $3,000/month i'm at right now so relatively fast. If anyone is thinking about getting into the Adsense game or making a website for the first time, it might be helpful.

I don't claim to be an expert, and lord knows there are many people on this forum that know way more than i ever will - But hey, these things worked pretty well for me.

My site is in a very specific 'technology' related niche. i don't think that has a *lot* to do with it's success though.

The little guide that i've put together does not say "go make a site about xyz" - it's an outline of the specific things i did, and some specific tools i used that I think contributed to my traffic and success.. all of the ideas can be applied to just about any site topic. it's very simple (only 12 pages) and i made for someone that is just starting, or looking for new ideas and things to try..

Not to be a bastard, but if you're making so much from your site as it is, why are you selling eBooks for $10/pop? Isn't that more trouble than its worth?

I'm not saying you aren't making the $3k, and I'm not saying you should give the info away for free. But why bother at all?

Your motives obviously aren't monetary, as even if you pimp this book like crazy and sell 100 copies you will only get a little over a week's income. And if you were just trying to help all the forum-goers out, you would give it away for free.

So whats the deal? (Again, no disrespect intended)

I wouldn't buy it until I knew for sure that your site was doing very well. I don't know you... no offense to you, I'm sure you're probably telling the truth... but I've seen scams that seemed way more concrete.

to be honest, the idea IS to add to my income.
Also i have given a LOT away in my posts over the last several months. But, i figured if someone does not want to take the time to do the research and is willing to pay a few $, then I'm willing to take the time to sit down and spend the time writing out what has worked for me.. Again - there are no big secrets that i have, other than maybe the combination of things that i've done.

Does this make me a greedy, PDF-pimping i-whore? Ehh.. oh-well..

@Angeleyes - Skeptisim is good. again - i'm not selling any magic bullet or big secrets. Only what worked for me.. and, BTW, "Selling an ebook" is not part of of my success!

Correct me if I wrong…why I am thinking this is another well planed marketing trick. To me, all the e-books are nothing but some kind of scam. May be this is just me…..

Here is an idea, why not you start a website/blog with your quick success tips. I am pretty sure you will get tons of traffics and if you put up some AdSense, you will get your few clicks too. This will compensate your time and energy and give you better return in long run (unless you want to get some quick money with e-book).
The best part is no one can accuse you for scamming with e-book.

That's actually a good idea Rahman (the blog part) - see, i'm no genius! And, i think you're right, most ebooks are 'get rich quick' scams. I make no such claims..

And, BTW, it's Pergo, not REAL wood.. my website is not THAT successful.. but to me it's "Just like wood" ..

Possibly I'm more gullible than the rest of you lot ... or possibly you lot just mistakenly believe you can get something for nothing. I've looked at this user's post history and I could believe that he's done what he says he has.

I see newbs asking for a detailed plan all the time and for a lousy $10, this guy's offering one up. If you don't want it or can't afford to risk $10, then don't buy it. But unless you've bought it and think it's crap, why trash his thread?

I'm not trying to get $1k or $3k a month but if I were under $100/month and scratching my head wondering how to do it, I'd be forking over $10 in a heartbeat. You get a plan and if it seems legit you try it ... if it doesn't, you still gained knowledge for a lousy 10 bucks ... no lose either way in my mind.
