Adsense newb

I'm starting a blog site with very controversial topics, to hopefully attract tons of visitors.

I need some tips how to get traffic legitemately.

And should I go for every thousand hits, or clicks?

Not sure.

I'm just getting into this adsense stuff so forgive me for my ignorance.

Any tips, tricks, or suggestions please post and help me out.

Well, if they're really good posts, you could get them on social sites like digg and reddit.

 

Clicks for sure...depending on how much money you are investing in this, you may be able to hire a adsense specialist to help you out for this project. For further info, send me a PM...There is a lot you need to know about adsense before being a successful user of it.

I'm just doing this for an experiment. To get as many clicks as possible. To make as much money as possible.

If you wish to get more knowledge about getting the best out of your adsense then you need to do the following:

monetize your ad
get quality traffic
don't break tos
find the best paying keywords for your niche
stick with em

stay on DP for advice like I did

as many clicks as possible does not equal as much money as possible

for instance

1000 clicks per day at 2 cents = $20 per day

1000 clicks per day at 20 cents = $200 per day

spend some time in DP's other sections. this "adsense" section can help you greatly with placement, etc. of the Adsense ads, but Traffic, Niches, Content, etc. are a whole 'nother ball of wax. too extensive to cover here... but i would say, don't be in too much of a hurry. no fast money here, really. even blackhat takes awhile to get going, and that would be the fastest way to make money (and it's not covered in this forum, either)...

 

Stick to topics in which you have knowledge. Find the high paying key words in that topic. Write accordingly.

 

Man, I hear yah! I totally agree with that, especially with blogs. Try Lasik Eye Surgery, [City] Corinary School, and Auto Insurance topics, its a little ruff on the content side...good advice
