they disabled my account! and I wrote an appeal and here's what I wrote: So what's really going on? How can they just disable without any warnings. Like I told them, there was only ONE time I accidentally clicked my own ad, and within the same minute, I wrote them and told them about it. I've only been with them for about 2 weeks and had about $82 in there. So when they say "disabled", does that mean the moneys gone, or on hold? -Off Tha Ave
I think you should have not sent them that appeal. You really only get one chance at an appeal and if you don't get their attention with some stats + possibilities, they won't care about your account even after a million e-mails (according to previous threads...). Did you have a proxy site?
It means you can no longer run adsense (it's a lifetime ban unless your appeal is granted - which is rare). Google doesn't ban accounts for a single click. Did you have low cost paid traffic, traffic exchanges, or tell any friends about your site? The money you had in your account will be refunded to advertisers.
^^ that's F*ckin lame and no, I didn't buy any traffic exchange or anything of that nature. And no I didn't own a proxy site. My main site is an urban website... then I have another one about web basics, and another one for hosting (which isn't up yet but has the adsense on there). I see they cheat ppl out money before doing an investigation.
Thanks, I'm mad cuz I was only with them for 2 weeks with $80 already and now it's gone!! But 8everything, no , I only checked the reports and somedays (recent days), I've only been getting about 2-5 clicks. But on days where I got 50-100, they didn't do this and that was a week or so ago.
You have no control on this. It can be anything. Like somebody who decide one day to bomb click a site for no reason and email G to say you asked him to do so. I mean, you have no control. I personaly live with the idea that if tomorrow my adsense is gone, I'll sell my sites and do something else..or another publisher option...
Yeah you really don't. They would be better if they were more understanding. I've read post about google contacting other people about these concerns but I didn't get one warning e-mail.. just bam! like that.
^^No well I'm cool, just gotta dust myself off. Google wants to be @$$holes, I'll let them be @$$holes. It was fun seeing how much my site could generate from clicks but adsense isn't the only damn way to make money. So now I pick myself up and start new. I made a thread on ideas on how to make money off my site so if some of you feel how I feel, please help out. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=2946498#post2946498 -Yours truely, Off Tha Ave
That's just bad luck man! Just dust yourself off and go another direction. There is plenty of money to be made on the internet.
Your best chance is to continue the appeal process and if you lose create another account under the name of a family member. They will initially deny your account, but you can then email them explaining that the account is not for yourself, but for a family member. This is a known and relatively accepted workaround to the ban process that even google knows about.
good idea, the old lady has a website too. But still, like the other guy said, there's tons of other ways to get income. I'm looking for different ways as well. Most likely google will just end up cancelling the account again once they see the ads back on my site
Maybe you could try adsense alternative. Try 'search' function in this forum. There's a lot. Good luck in your appeal.
yeah, I got adbrite up and running on my site so I'm swapping all the adsense with adbrite. I'm still looking for more alternatives but I'm still pretty crushed over this.. $80 just gone... into the wind like that. kinda brings a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat lol.
I did two years of a nickel for manslaughter and the worst part was listening to all of the other inmates' stories about how they got screwed and didn't do nothing. This thread reminds me of that. u r sooooo busted! Google doesn't make mistakes when they disable accounts. Cheater! On a more constructive note. YPN doesn't catch cheaters as well or as quickly as Google JJ
2 years for manslaughter? hmmmmmm I dunno about that one. Anyways, it's very hard to get into YPN sence they're still in their beta stage, last time I checked.
