    Hello everyone,

I have been considering moving my blogs over to wordpress.
Do any of you use wordpress and have you added adsense to your wordpress blogs?
    Can they be added?
Any tips on how to add adsense to wordpress?

    Thanks for you input.

Yes, AdSense can be added if you are hosting your own blog. I don't believe it can be used on the Wordpress site, though. There are plugins to help if you want them in posts, or you can add it to sidebars or other places by editing within the template.

@8everything: I think the consensus is that Blogger does not take a % of the earnings. Adaye already explained it here:

@stephfoster: you are correct in saying that they don't allow ads on the free blogs at Wordpress.com . But if you are self-hosted on your own domain, you can do whatever you want with it.

@wilder67: you can add the ads a number of ways. One is to hack the template files by placing the Adsense code in them. If you rather not do that, there's also a Wordpress plugin called "Adsense Manager" which is much easier:

I'd suggest that you familiarise yourself with how Wordpress works first. Look in the Wordpress support forums and search for "Adsense".

much better with wordpress (not wordpress.com). you need to have your own domain and start looking for hosting company. I think you can have host for as low as $11/year.
you can import your old blog from blogger to wordpress with ease.
You can read more in here

Adding Adsense to wordpress is very straight forward. It's just a matter of inserting the code in the wordpress templates where you want it to appear. eg. header / singlepost pages

Adsense is easy to implement into self-hosted blogs but WordPress.com doesn't allow it. WordPress.com doesn't allow paid posts from ReviewMe or similar sites, either.

It would depend on whether you're talking about wordpress.com (hosted blogging) or wordpress.org (install it yourself).

    Wordpress.com won't allow Adsense ads.

The application you can download from Wordress.org does.

For instructions on how to install it check out this Installing Wordpress article.
