Exclamation Warning: Blogger.com is sharing your adsense revenue

Hello guys!
I noticed recently that if you use AdSense widget in Blogger it puts google_ad_host="pub-X" right after your publisher ID. Just open your blog and click "view html source" in your browser, find your adsense code and you will see that there are 2 pub-XXXXXX IDs. So I dont use the widget anymore. Just put your ads in HTML/Javascript widget. I am not sure if most of you are aware of this revenue sharing that is implemented by Blogger.

Please tell me what you think....

Best Regards,
Tihomir

You're aware Blogger is a Google product? And how damaging this would be to Google if Blogger really was scamming AdSense publishers? I therefore conclude there's an innocent explanation.

There's never an innocent explanation where Google's involved.

I don't think this is something to be worried about.
Google would not steal from us.

Good explanation:

Hosts with access

If you use a third party service (such as Blogger) to manage your AdSense account, that service will be listed below as a host. Hosts are sites or services that require access to your AdSense ad code and reports in order to provide you with AdSense account management through their site. Hosts do not have access to your address or payment information and you can disable their access to your AdSense account at any time.

Thumbs down

Dude, thanks for posting this info. I guess this was coming. G's other product, Orkut, was started without ads, but as the network expanded the ads started to pound. Blogger, on the other hand entice the users to make money, but a chunk is ripped off. I wonder if it has been mentioned in TOS. If yes, what % is ripped?

I think this would probably appear on their Inside AdSense or Blogger Buzz blogs (or both). Has anyone actually emailled to ask them about this? That would stop this speculation and conjecture stone dead.

So any word. Maybe that's the payment they require for their "free" service.

That wouldn't be "Blogger" skimming, that would be Google skimming and the explanation is,
"Because we give you a free opportunity to make money without any investment from you. We do all the template design, hosting, and provide the ads. Give you free SEO tips and advice, and content suggestions not to mention tons of other resources to make your blog successful."

"Of course we are getting out cut, to pay for your "free" blog".
