IM3D: yes it is. It end's next friday the 22th. About your logo, it's very cool, but the plain instantaniously associates the company with a travel agency, which is not the case.
Well, yep! This has proven so successful that I’ve just opened another contest for a logo, this time for another company I’m involved with. Consider it another shot for everyone who hasn’t been picked on this one despite all the talent shown.
I'm away from home, where the original is to work on, but here is a draft of another version. I'll post a refined/cleaner rendering tonight when I can get to the original to work from. I just sketched this one up to get the concept submitted for review. Because it's getting down to the last days, I thought I'd throw this up quickly to give you a look at the concept while I refine the graphic.
@ mlitty: thanks for your latest submission, looks very nice. The thing is, although we are very found of your concept and how great it looks (it looks really great imo), we think maybe it is "to much" for a logo, you know. But we are still thinking on it, and one possibility is to use the globe concept (without the lettering), not for our logo, but somewhere else on our website. So, stay tuned @ IM3D: another great piece of work. Your entries look very cool and professional. But the windmill can give a wrong picture of the company. Thins abstract when thinking about rural tourism and social development
I appreciate your feedback. Having taken another look, it is more of a banner than a logo. Perhaps this version might be more suitable? I'm not convinced on the font, but I wished to get the logo up and wanted something to go with it. I've rotated the globe to the Portugal side to be less "Ameri-centric", and started the continental gradient in Portugal to add a subtle focus. I've seen many logos where the text was not part of the logo. Going with an image allows the freedom to change and re-proportion the text for different applications/media. However I would be happy to incorporate any text/font suggestions you may have.
Little bit abstract logo. Take the "A" from Andamus and shape it like a house roof and add a leaf on it.
Hy all, @IM3D: now you got something. Good entry. @mlitty: The fist one is great and could be something. Thanks. To all: Ok guys, we are close to the end of the contest. Many thanks all for the great submssions. This forum have talented people, no doubt about that! The contest will close next friday and then we will announce the winner. Until them you can still submit logos. Cheers to all,
@xfactorlogo: well, one of our members keeps looking at your submission and shouting that the "m" , the "u" and the "s" may be a little hard ro read, and that the blue in the stick man doesn't "feel right". So feel free to try it with another handwritting type font and other color for the happy man
Hi all, time for announce the winner for this contest. First of all, thanks to all the people who have submitted work in this thread. Let me tell you it was a hell to choose one logo among so many great ones. Really. We surely will be back with other contests since we are very happy with the talent we faced here in this community. That being said, we have chosen the Xfactorlogo submission to be our logo. Congratulations I will contact you soon via pvt. message. Again, thank you all for your participation ===== CONTEST CLOSED =====
