I'm an Adsense publisher for about 2 years. This is my first significant revenue drop since I enrolled in the program. Details into the Issue: 1.My adsense income nearly halved though CTR, Impressions remain the same. 2.The problem is with the CPC. Remedies I've tried 1.I've tried filtering a few categories, a few advertiser urls 2.I changed the ad unit(created a new ad unit same size, format), removed ad targeting and nothing seems to help. I'll be glad to anyone who helps me out of this crisis situation. Is it just usual during the holiday season or is it just me ?
why don't you talk to this guy? He said his revenue goes up in december http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2357348 Or probably because you have a crap site? I heard that crap sites don't earn much these days
Perhaps it is because your site is not about something which is on people's minds during the holiday season. My revenue went up, because I am getting three times as many visitors during the Christmas Season.
it highly depend on the niche, many niche are drop during the Dec except those niche like shopping, games, entertainment etc due to the Christmas
It seems that holidays are to blame. My site is focussed on education that's why I am seeing the impact. My visitors usually go down on weekends. Now a similar trend follows during christmas.. hope I recover soon. Anyway happy with amazon affiliate sales.
Mine did the same (with CPC and CTR). However, it tends to do this every year for me during Xmas time due to the likelihood that people are more focused on shopping for Xmas gifts, doing last minute shopping and spending time with the family. I usually recover after Xmas passes when everyone starts to regain focus on the everyday routine of life again. It's possible that's all you're experiencing with your site and will notice that your earnings go back up over the next 1-3 weeks
