=>~ $300: WordPress Design for PaddyBloggit.com ($150 for .psd & $150 for coding) ~<=

Hi designX ,

Some observations:

• The quotation and 'Voice of the People' are not connected.
• The minimalist web 2.0 design here doesn't appeal to me. (I know I said web 2.0 in my initial posting but I'm beginning to think it doesn't work for me. Web 2.0 colours may be too in your face for this site.
• I'd prefer a 3 column layout than a 2 column one.

Have another read of my initial post .... it's fairly comprehensive ...

 

I'll do a design .psd when I get home tommorow!

 

As this contest has now generated some interest I'll keep the contest running until all who want to enter a submission have had a chance to do so.

==> Don't rush a design to beat a dealine. Just post here that you are going to submit an entry and try to have it in within 3 days of that posting. That should give ppl plenty of time to work/tweak designs.

 

Good move Tetragon, I notice the surge of interest in the span of few hours.

A heads up for you (seeing as you were a successful prize winner with my avatar/link/banner image design contest for Lord Bloggit) .... I will be running an exact duplicate of that contest for Paddy Bloggit when the site will be up and running!

Thanks for the entry Thiagoo but it's not what I'm looking for ..... the design doesn't appeal to me .... sorry .... I don't think I could make any suggestions to you that would make it more appealing to me.

Good to see ppl starting to follow the design brief ...

Innovation ...... Innovation ...... Innovation

Am looking for that 'wow' factor .... I'll know it when I see it! Colors will make or break the site. As will the designer's interpretation of an 'Irishness' to the site.
I have expectations for this site and that's why I am prepared to pay the $200 to get the design 100% spot on first time.

I see elements of what I want in alot of the designs .... there must be a designer out there who can make sense of what I want!

Here is my entry Tetragon. It does look alot better at 100%, so P.M me if you do like the look of the 50% preview. I decided to use a clover leaf as an icon for the banner so it kept simple, but if you do prefer an irish flag themed banner, just say. I hope you enjoy the concept.

To be fair to all who are entering the contest .... please do not PM me with your entries ..... I would appreciate entries being posted on this thread only.

No matter how good your entry is .... I'll ignore it if you PM it to me. I appreciate the work ppl put into their creations so it's only fair everybody has an equal platform for their work.

If you are posting an entry ............ please post it publically on this thread. Posting on the thread will ensure I comment on it .... making it beneficial for all as it will help designers pin down my requirements a little bit more. It will also prevent time wasting for both me and the designers who submit entries.
