    I have way too many sites that have received internal PR between Nov 05 and April 04

    An update is an update there is no distinction between index pages and child pages..

    Perhaps Lotus you should check your internal linking or run a link check on your site to see what pages the inbound links are pointing to....

    To have children with higher PR than the index page indicates high PR links to child pages, more so than to the index page.. or poor internal link structure.

    And if it weren't for this quirk in the PR updates... I can verify that sites with no internal page links and excellent structure - including linking absolutely - can suffer from the phenomenon of higher internal page PR. There are other threads in the website review sections discussing the problem.

    When did you get your first PR on that site, Sem? The problem first seemed to come to light in September '05, if I remember correctly.

    I actually suffer the same occurance on Sem-Advance.com

    I started the rebrand March 2005 and I believe I got PR in September or October 2005 (Could have been as late as November) Initially I had a pr 2 home page and pr3 internals.

    As you can see PR means that little to me that I do not even remember the date. (Nor care lol).

    Heres the real question...if the rankings haven't dropped,.... then the blank internal pages in peoples' websites still are holding PR within Googles datacenters........ so what does anyone care????

    they are indeed however both were placed into use at the same time and have the same internal linking stucture.

    so there is more behind it than they are treated as two seperarte sites
