Am thinking to transfer my co.uk domains to 123-reg after problems with another hopelessly unreasonable provider. Will add detail once all domains are moved. Have searched here and only found a 2006 thread with user opinions http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=875626 Wondered if anyone has had any recent good-bad experience. the bad on that thread was mainly about response times for support. Personally I prefer a provider whose service works well enough I never need support, maybe that's what the silence here means? Thanks. ETA: OK. Found whole lotta problems elsewhere (not sure why the owner has allowed that board to be taken over by spammers, it seemed to be quite active beforehand) http://avoid123reg.mydisk.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=2&topicdays=0&start=2500 Somone on the 2006 thread suggested compila. Will maybe start a separate thread asking for suggestions.
I have been with them for nearly 6 years and they have had there moments. When they were with Pipex the support was shocking, but over the last 2 years they have really got there act together and i am really happy with them. If you are looking for cheap domains with a working control panel then i would definately suggest. I think last time i looked they had a 96p .eu offer
123 reg is excellent and the only registrar i used for the past 3 years. Just started usign go daddy for .coms and package deals but I have over 60 domains with them and as danny says, they were useless as pippex but they have been much better. They are also very cheap for .co.uk domains.
I don't know about 123Reg. I've been recommended to move my domains to Bluehost, as my hosting company don't support Cpanel.
