$100 Weekend Design Contest 2 (uncoded webpage)

Hey DP!

This design is for a company who plans on selling food items via the Internet via an online menu. I plan on announcing the winner before Monday and winner will be paid via PayPal.

I like the design, but am looking for something more like paleta.com with whole grains and healthy foods and a very simple layout with lots of white space. I love the colors you went with though. They flow real nice with your design!

P.S. What does CH mean? Contest holder?

 

yes! CH - contest holder...

here are 2 revision...

v1 revised the background elements and the header image.



v2 took out the contact us and replace it with gallery images.... and below you could add additional info.



but still anything can be change so comments would be very much helpful..

jr: I really like your design style. I missed the menu the first time. It look really nice. I love the transparency. I love your use of the logo, the phone number on the bottom, and your use of images. Also the header font and varying sizes and color looks very nice. I liked v1 with less text. The simpler the better for this project. Do not be afraid of white space.

I received a couple of PMs with entries, but so far jr is in the lead. Also, please post your entries here if you can so everyone can benefit from my suggestions.

To win this contest you only need to provide me with the PSD file. If you can, however, code the design into valid HTML/CSS that works on Firefox and IE, I will give you an extra $20.

 

d-sign: I like the style of your design. The grains at the top right however seem very out of place and it is clear they have been cut and pasted from another picture. The same thing applied for some of the cups like the "contact us" one. I really like the menu on the left and think it is very classy. I am not sure about the pink color in the background. I also really like the leaf on the right though. It makes the site more nature-y and healthy which is what we are going for. Thanks!

awd: I really like this design. I love the leaves on the sides. The only thing I am unsure of is the green/teal color in the bottom half.

d-sign: This design look ten times better. I like how the menu text is all over the plates now. The asparagus and white beans (?) still feel a little bit cut-and-paste to me though...

DrZapp: I absolutely love the colours you used and the whole simplicity of your design. I am not sure what else to say, I just loved it. I could literally stare at it for a few hours.

Thanks for the feedback,i've made some color themes so you can see which color theme suits best this design.
Among the changes i made is making the beans in the header image look more natural since they were to brigh and feeling a little bit unatural.I've added a stroke to the content boxes so the text areas will pop out.At the lasts color theme designs i resized the "latest article" content box,so you can see how it looks.
