They should give sufficient backlinks, especially if you get good votes on yours and Digg is great with SERP's.

Yes Trichnosis but some of those sites have nofollow enabled, for example Stumbleupon and Delicious.

My guess would be that this list will also be nofollow before too long. All that it will take is it being used as a promotional tool rather then a place to socially bookmark and/or share sites.
