Rep takes time and as people sees you trying to be helpful, they will start to rep you. The worse thing is to ask for rep. If I find something useful, I will rep someone, but if they ask for it, I will not. The key is to have a good time, try to make money if that is your goal and let the rep take care of itself. The freebie section is littered with people asking for rep, just be yourself and you will earn rep!
Being a girl does not get you very many free reps! (Unless I am doing something wrong!) I've found that spending some time in the GC and UG areas will help with your rep. As people get to know you better they will be more likely to rep you when you are being helpful... Or funny...

Provide me with 10 good reasons why you need 10 blurbs or whatever those green boobs looking things are called. Than remember this: its a game , and u will need a gameplay and players to play. You think u can get those 10 green thingies easy ? Posting good stuff does not help at all at times. Will take u 100 years to get to 1400 points. Do you have that much time ?
