Hi, Does anybody applied for SEO Certification on seocertification.org I want to know if this is the authorized seo certification? is the content of exam is useful & enough from knowledge point of view? Please let me know your feedback as am planning to apply for the same. Thanks.
I am not sure about this type of websites, if you really want to be a certified SEO then you can go to Google and check what they are offering
I'd be careful about getting it from just anyone. At the same time I would consider starting a SEO certification program of my own.
No, I don't think there is any SEO kind of certification which could give benefits for future. You can learn the things of your own. Or you can do training in good SEO company.
I don't think such a certification from a website will give any advantage. If there is any google or yahoo certification it will helps the most.
I have Done SEO Certification from seocertification.org and i believe that Certification always gives you and extra advantage to your carrier growth because no body will jundge any one in short span of time but if you are certified they other will have trust and you look very different from the crowd..
It may call itself a certification, but it isn't. Their primary aim is to make money (unlike a proper exam board), the exception to the rule being large corporations offering certifications in their own technology e.g Cisco, microsoft etc. Seeing as this site doesn't own seo, I wouldn't waste my money. See it like being a porgrammer, you don't need a certificate to show your skills; if you can demonstrate your ability, you'll likely get a job. And seeing as 90% of people in SEO are freelancers, a certification is neither here, nor there.
If you need to do some certification, then try doing it from Google. Google is offering some certifications like Adwords Professional, Adsense Professional, Analytics Professional e.t.c.
I think no certification will guarantee you results. Only knowledge doesn’t help in life. You should know how to implement it also and get positive results.
If you are in search for SEO certification program then check Google. Google offers "Google Certification Exam" and "Google Adword certification" program. That will be the best for you.
Before spending too much money on a certification program I think about the value you'll get in return. Most SEO companies don't care too much about certification. With that being said if you want to get certified for SEO, I would suggest taking a look at SEMPO.com: Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization. This is probably the most well-known certification/organization you can join for SEO.
At the first place, SEO is an open industry and no one here is in control of it. If you want to learn SEO, I suggest you to do more forum posting, learning from experts around here and other websites and blogs especially search engine webmaster forums. Next, is build your reputation by applying what you learn with your own site and try to get them rank higher and make it search engine friendly. Now, you will have the sample and qualification to offer SEO services to others.
