Doing something interesting with a directory?

I have added unique categories in my PageRank Directory - 11 Page Rank Categories based on the PR 0 to PR 10

 

Isn't there an issue once the page ranks have been updated?

 

Of course, but then I'll be using your pagerank mod and moving the sites to their respective categories

I want to avoid listing directories for the sake of gaining you guys a backlink (if you see what I mean). I want to promote directories that are doing something very different. It appears that these review sites are the next big thing for directories. (look at the number mentioned in this thread - clearly not as unique as I had expected). So therefore I am going to put a hold on review directories for now.

Things that I am really looking for are:

- New mods (paid or free) that do something special
- Newly released and attractive templates (not after just any old template. one's that are honestly impressive)
- Directories that do something different or take a different approach (in practice, in more than 1 way).
- Anything else relating to directories that's new and unique.

I don't want DirectorySpy to turn into a whore for directories to advertise. I want it to be a blog saying "wow, look at this cool idea, template or script", so that other directory owners can consider it for their directory.

If I can't write 200 words about something with no waffle, then its not likely to be interesting to others. That's my motivation, something useful or interesting to others.

I hope you understand. It's not my intention to sound like a demon!

 

I hope you'll still look into www.FreeDeepLinks.com - the one categorizing articles all across the Web. I've been told by quite a few people here that they've never seen anything like it yet, so I'm trying to promote the heck out of it over coming weeks. Any feedback or mention of it would be immensely appreciated.

I was wondering did you take a look at www.eBusiness-Directory.com ?
I've have had great feedback about the design and layout, its fresh and breaks away from the traditional PHP look, also a photo or a logo can be uploaded with each submission to make your site stand out, it also has features like tell a friend, and people browsing the directory can rate a site quite easily, also there is a free vbullettin ebusiness forum to try and develop a community spirit.

I would love a blog on your site and maybe your thoughts and any ideas you might have on my directory.
