Just to confirm, yes I've been scammed. Here's a warning to all people being asked to paypal a Personal payment. Say no or offer to pay the fee, as I foolishly agreed to send money as a personal payment instead as for goods as sweatlana did not want to pay the fee. This means I'm unable to dispute it and get a refund via PayPal. Sad thing is, if this person had been honest, this could have been the start of an ongoing relationship that would have made them a lot more money in the long term. You've been warned.
It took a lot of prompting and pestering, but I just got a refund through, so it wasn't a complete loss after all thankfully.
I also faced such problem , in my case the money got reversed to the seller . so paypal will always work favour for the party who deposit the amount initially.
Yeah, file a dispute or chargeback. You should have declared the payment as payments for goods or item and not personal payment. Report the DP user to our admin for investigation or give him a negative feedback.
