Hi guys. I would like a logo designed which says "New Zealand's finest products". The logo will be placed on a product label to indicate it is from NZ. The overall theme is a 'natural' theme, as the product is all-natural. The logo must include the New Zealand silver fern leaf, from the all blacks logo (example attached). It does not have to be this specific silver fern leaf. If you can make the logo work with the New Zealand map also, it would be great, although it's not a requirement. I have another contest on which is very similar. (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1660153) Edit: Contest will run for approximately 72Hrs
WzForum: I don't mind the colours, but the logo is a bit busy (i.e. not 'neat'). I'm looking for simple and stylish design. minucosminu: This is more along the lines of what I'm looking for, although the logo doesn't seem to inspire 'naturalness', which is what I was asking for the logo to do. Try posting up a few with different colour schemes, so I can decide whether it's the colours or the design which is giving me this impression. plazmaDesign: It is not simple enough. I think it's because of the fern to the left of the logo. Guys, I know that colour schemes are easily applied and/or changed, but try to post up a logos with a colour scheme which you think matches the context, and I will tell you if I like the colours or not.
Thanks guys for all the entries. sanjaya: Your logo doesn't seem to 'flow'. It has too many elements, and isn't simple enough. WittyCyberDesigners's: I have given you feedback in my other $25 logo thread. Kevin Shah: Similar feedback to sanjaya. You have tried to incorporate too much into the logo, and also, all the elements are not integrated together which makes it look less like a logo, and more like text with some images. MantisArt: That is quite good. I like the modern and simple look. One thing which I am not too sure about, is that your design seems to look like an icon with some text next to it. If you are willing, maybe try somehow to blend the two, and incorporate them into one another. WzForum: Much better than before. Looks very 'fresh' and 'green', although it lacks a modern/professional look to it. If you still want to give it a try, I do prefer the first version with the writing on the bottom. masjacky: Nice designs. The first one is not too appealing to me because it could potentially be a bit confusing, as the 'finest product' is above 'New Zealand'. Although both of them are not compact enough. I do like the leaf growing out of the letter, but i think this is also what makes me think it's not compact enough Note: Although initially I was not going to disclose this information, this logo will be placed on dairy products. I just thought maybe I'll give you guys another design angle. It is NOT a requirement that the logo must convey across that this is a dairy product.
plazmaDesign and minucosminu, thanks for the revisions. I actually wrote comments for your designs but I left the computer to do something else and I realised just now that i haven't actually posted them. plazmaDesign: I like your concept. Try changing the font, and remove that '3d sphere look' (make it 'flat') from the left and make it either one colour or 2 similar blended ones. Up to you. Just make it a bit more simplified. minucosminu: The colours make it better but it's still lacking a certain something. It gives of a high quality look, but It's not giving enough of a "hey im fresh" vibe. As previously mentioned, I like the nice clean look and the general design. Try incorporating another small element in it somewhere/somehow without taking away from it's professional look.
