Ive had about 300 unique visitors so far and not one of them have clicked on the ads. Is there some sort of trick to make them click on them more often?

i wouldn't say there's a "trick" to it. it's more about where you place them and how you use them. each site is different and needs the ads placed strategically.
Set Your ad at proper place make Highlighted attract visitor to click on adds, if you hav so much visitors than you can easily earn good amount... best of luck...
First off, 300 visitors is not a very statistically reliable set of data to be worried about click-thru rate. Some days you may not see a click. Once you get to around 1000 or more visitors a day, you might start to see some more stable numbers. Secondly, don't try to trick your users into clicking ads. Make your ads useful additions to your content. By this, I mean make sure you are getting them targeted properly to your content by using the tags around your content:
As said by OzzyWeb, USE IT STRATEGICALLY and like SockMonkey, make it a useful somehow important addition to your content. That way, because there is relation, people will see it as useful and might just click.
I had that problem with adsense. The ads were too targeted (stuff people were coming to my site for already) or totally horribly irrelevant where 0.0001% of the entire world would want to click on (such targeted niches like AARP or senior healthcare lol)
You have to make sure you build more quality traffic first to do this make sure your content is unqiue this will make a big diffrence in how much per click you are paid and the amount of traffic you get.
