Why does Google think my site is the worst site in the world?

    http://www.palmbeachexchange.com/

    Even if you search "palm beach exchange", I'm on the last page (10) almost at the very bottom. Oh, and I should add that I have 100 listings per page when I search. So I'm almost at 1000 out of 1000..

    What's so bad about my site? The homepage has a PR of 5.. What's the deal?

    That may be because the website looks like a link farm? Do you have any recip links to bump your ranking? Those help a LOT.

    Hi , i have to agree with Travis...But you're making a good go at providing content too..

    I would :

    put "Palm Beach Exchange" in the title.. you have "Palm Beach County..."

    put "Palm Beach Exchange" in h1 tags ....

    Get more links to your site with "Palm Beach Exchange" as the anchor link.

    Im sure some of the gurus here ( im only a beginner!) will help out!

    Have a look around this site and im sure youll get up there in no time...

    p.s. There's 11.5 million links found when searching for your keywords....Its tough out there Tonto!

    You need at least 250 words of quality content on your page. Humans don't go to websites to find links. They go to them to find content. Google tries to guess how good your website is based on your content, and if you don't have any, you are lucky to be #10.

    You could also use a sitemap.

    Let me say my opinion.

    If you are PR5, there should be some keywords you are on top 20. So try to look at the natural keywords in you logs/stats that search engine found your website. Are those keywords what you want on top or not?

    if not then try to optimize your website on the keywords you want.

    7,490,000 for me for that keywordl

    being in #1000 is cool;

    ad more content, expand pages with more content per page as 4 lines wont make it too well;

    get more links from PR4 and above pages - say, 50 links could bring you up to top 500 easily;

    mine is a huge portal and for the keyword "mobile portal" out of 95,100,000 mine is on the third page (number 21). its a PR5 site

    We are working on it for a year already and it doesn't have to many sites linking in, its got about 150 backlinks the most.

    Also we have a lot of info, but not as much per page as 250 words....

    Oh yeah,, the back link is important too.

    my website is about 6 years old so I have some back link for a long time (features on local newspaper once and that make people link to my website so this might made me get PR5)

    for the ranking, SERP things we can't really know how it works.

    I believe it is mostly because you do not have enough links pointing to you from sites related to Florida or Palm Beach...... Go through your backlinks and look at each one closely..... Out of the number of backlinks you do have, most are not realted to your theme and a good portion of the ones that are, more then likely, are not trusted sites..... I do however see one good link, but it is clearly not enough...;)

    There are no boobies on the front page, anywhere. :(

    Ok, Clasione is correct but if you had a little more 'spice' to the front page and maybe added a 'babes' type section, it would provide an incentive for people to link and could let you submit to sites such as www.collegehumor.com

    Perhaps add an RSS feed with news from Palm Beach, if you can find one.

    That way you will have 'instant' content related to the Palm Beach area.

    You could also add some pages with your own Palm Beach articles on them. If you live there, you should know what is great about the area. Perhaps do a little research & have an article related to housing, maybe one on best restaurants, etc.

    You could also submit these articles as well to bring in some traffic to your site.
