The thing I find most interesting is. The highest price payed for a dotMe domain to date is going to be a non commercial "fan site"

I find it hard to believe as well. What makes it more unbelievable is that toyota.me actually sold for $90,025

I think it will only stay a fan site till the owner gets an offer he can't refuse

The owner of the Toyota.me doesn't think like us or he is just one hell of a fan.

 

They evidently wish for Toyota to purchase the name later one and the way it is set up, trying to avoid a lawsuit in the process. Poor job at best, but if I laid out 90K on a domain name, I wouldn't have picked Toyota...This should be an interesting conclusion when it happens...Stay tuned!

but why is it very hard to get premium names even for .me newly launced product...

is it because long before the launch the rich people bought it first??
