does anyone use youtube to drive traffic

I regularly upload videos i find around the web and usually always get over 2 thousand views within 48 hours with no promotion

i dnt actually use the videos for anything so is there any way i can use them to drive traffic to my sites or even sell some form of advertising with the video

    thanx

Maybe give a link to your site, as the video description.. Like "for more of this video, go to http://yoursite.com" .. but you need a really interesting video for this, just upload a half of it :p

You could put your website as a watermark over the video (if no one else has claimed the rights to it)... your site will get some traffic from that for sure.

easiest thing is to make a site using wordpress. Just put a bunch of videos on it and adsense. If your videos do get that many videos then you can make a few $$ a day probally with people clicking ads on your site.

Or theres pay to play. Or even try CPA offers. copeac.com is good

Wow, tons of Youtube threads lately. Yes, Youtube is an awesome marketing tool if you're producing quality videos (which many "marketers" on here fail to do), and is a goldmine if you're able to achieve front page status

I tried that a few times... If the video is somewhat decent, with a good title and a link - it might turn out very profitable.

However, I prefer using software that submits your video to 30+ video websites at once ;)

    Few tips

    1. Use proper keywords in the text area where you describe the video.
    2. Always place a link to your site (either in the text or in the video itself)
    3. Add a tempting text at the end of the video such as "visit www.yoursite.com for more videos and more info" .

You will need to add your own text relevant to the youtube video content otherwise it is not going to help you much.

Is this actually legal ? If you're finding video clips on the web then they belong to somebody else, likewise with photos.

I'm not condemning you as I'd be interested to know if it's possible to do but I do suspect it's a little suspect to "piggy back" your own advert onto someone else's product.

    Any other views ??

Youtube can be a good marketing tool because most of the time, YouTube draws much traffic to your website.

If they are in the same field you could perhaps offer a membership that will allow them to view the videos
