On May 7th of 2008 I signed up for my analytics. So this data is a little less then 2 weeks of traffic. During the past 2 weeks I lost a full 24 hours of data because I changed themes and forgot to restore the analytics code. So the actual numbers are going to be a little higher then this. But since we are dealing with percentages, these numbers should work fine. Source/Medium-------Visits------ Pages/Visit----Avg. Time on Site ---- % New Visits ------ Bounce Rate 1. (direct) -------------18,679-----------18.48-------------00:18:55-------- --- 23.07% -----------12.77% 2. google -------------- 7,219 ----------- 8.53-------------00:08:28 ------- --- 72.85%------------ 56.43% 3. youtube.com ------- 927 ------------ 14.70 ----------- 00:15:14------- ---- 59.12% -------------29.13% Bounce Rate - the youtube group had almost half the bounce rate of the google group - 29.13 (youtube) compared to 56.43 (google). Pages per visit - the youtube group had almost double to page views of the google group - 14.70 (youtube) compared to 8.53 (google). Memberships - the youtube people were 20% - 30% more likely to register for an account on my forum then the google people. This data comes from my forum, not google analytics. Conclusion - Even though google referred more people then youtube, the people from youtube stayed longer, viewed more pages and were more likely to register an account.
