Logo Design for HomeCookRecipes.net

I've been doing a website design contest for HomeCookRecipes.net and BackRoadTravels.net. However, I realized that the designers were struggling because I hadn't created a logo for each website.

So this thread is for the logo creation of HomeCookRecipes.net. Currently, this is a blog that posts random recipes. However, the new site will allow people that travel to enter in their favorite recipes from the different places they visit.

I have found that a logo looks good when you have three main elements: a graphic, the name of your site, and a slogan. Obviously, you know the name of the site. The slogan is: "Recipes From Home & Abroad" but, I leave the graphics and coloring of the logo up to you.

The contest is for 48 hours or until a clear winner is decided on. Please PM if you have any questions.

LOGO FEEDBACK

@bennyjh: Colorful design, but you left the slogan off of the design. My overall impression of the design is that it is too bland. Try to mix an exotic feeling into your design by adding culture and different foods and recipes into the logo.

@Pixel T: I am okay with your logo submission being private, if you are okay with my feedback being public. I think that every designer should get all the feedback possible (and I also don't want to repeat my advise). Also, if you win you need to be okay with showcasing your logo to the thread. That way people can see why I picked your design. If these rules work for you than I am okay with you PM-ing your submissions.

@Idil: It's nice to see that people still offer free drawn logos. Some feedback. You need to add the slogan to the logo. Also, the overall look and feel is not what I am going for. It's very plain. HomeCookRecipes will be focused not only on favorite home recipes but also on favorite recipes that people collect from the different places they have traveled.

@Nebuk: I like your color scheme, but like the other two submission you didn't add the slogan. My feedback is also no different than what I have already given. Your logo is plain and offers no excitement to it. Hope this helps.

LOGO FEEDBACK

@Raja (Private Submission): I like your 20gdtop.jpg and 10o2psh.jpg logos. Some issues with both, though. First, like everyone else you forgot the slogan. Second, you misspelled part of the title. It should be "Recipes," not "Recipies." Also, Please capitalize the "C" in cook. Concerning the font, I would recommend more of a eloquent font, than the ones you have. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions.

xaralee: Great logos. My favorite is the frying pan. Your logo might be fine, but I want to see how some changes might look with it. Could do a logo that puts the frying pan in front of the text. Also, could you try a logo that changes the font color on the text. I like the red frying pan, but I almost feel overwhelmed with the red in the text also. Hope this helps.
