Logo Design for BackRoadTravels.net

I've been doing a website design contest for HomeCookRecipes.net and BackRoadTravels.net. However, I realized that the designers were struggling because I hadn't created a logo for each website.

So this thread is for the logo creation of BackRoadTravels.net (click here to go to the logo contest for homecookrecipes.net). There currently isn't a site for this domain. However, the new site will focus on sharing unknown restaurants and places to visit when traveling.

I have found that a good logo has three main elements: a graphic, the name of your site, and a slogan. Obviously, you know the name of the site. The slogan is: "Finding Back Road Secrets in Your Travels" but, I leave the graphics and coloring of the logo up to you.

The contest is for 48 hours or until a clear winner is decided on. Please PM if you have any questions.

@redlust: Thanks for jumping right in. First, you need to add the slogan. Also, let's not use the dot com badge for this logo. When I think of back roads I don't think of a highway system. I am looking more for a dirt road sort of feeling to the logo.
@offiri0: Way to generic of a logo. Also, I want to avoid the whole global image (it looks too much like an airline logo). This logo needs to have more of a "worn traveler" look to it. Hope this helps.

@xcubic: Thank you for following my guidelines on what I think is a good logo. However, the graphic, font, and color scheme come across as boring. The overall feel of your logo is that I have a long journey to go.
@dezine_gen: Fantastic design! Your logo gives me the feeling that I have found a treasure on an unknown path--well done. My only recommendation is to make your backwards "B" look more like a "B" (but still keep the "B" backwards). Right now it looks like an "E." I also love how you included the faded URL so that people understand what you are doing. Again, well done!

@dezine_gen: I liked the backwards "B" but you need to do a different font, the current font looks too funky--even facing forward. Also, I really like the font for "Travels" but the "T" looks like a "C". Is there anyway we can change this too?

 

both can be addressed I hope. 'll get back with results with 2~3 hours (or so). Thanks for the feedbacks.

@TDGraphics: Your logo is creative and has a good color scheme, but I am not sure it's quite the style I am looking for with this site. Also, if you use the suitcase in your revisions I would change the stickers so that they are not all saying "Rockies."

xaralee: This looks good, there's only a few things I would suggest. Like the other contest, I would move the icon to be in front or at the end of the text. Also, I am not a huge fan of the font. Could you try a couple different fonts on this design? Thanks.

Here's the changed "T" in travels. Also working on the 'B' of "backroad".
