Okay, I'll start off with one of my sites: (Figures from the month gone) Bounce rate: 56.15% Average time on site: 4:13 Pages per visit: 3.2 Lets avoid the daily visits and page impressions otherwise it becomes a bit of a cock waving exercise... Just interested in how others compare with the above stats...
A bounce occurs when a website visitor leaves a page or a site without visiting any other pages before a specified session-timeout occurs. Ouch, so my bounce rate of 45.89% means that nearly 50% of my visitors don't find my website interesting and leave as soon as they can? Better get back on-topic.
It could also mean the landing page answered all their questions. So this statistic can be a bit misleading IMO.
It really depends on your niche. So until you provide that information as well... copy/pasting the Analytics stats is useless.

14.08% 8:48 time on site 23.98 pages per visit auto parts site. But I set up my site where every page is an html page, so it may be that my pages per visit total is higher than others' due to google being more easily able to track it.

this one site i administer was largely unparsed by google yet gets about 500 uniques per day. amazing stats. i think bounce rate is highly related to how much direct traffic one gets. i get a majority of direct traffic. 6.33% Bounce Rate 00:14:21 Avg. Time on Site 18.91 Pages/Visit Direct Traffic (67.03%) Search Engines (19.29%) Referring Sites (13.68%)
