How to report TOS violations?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by MrMOJO, Apr 28, 2008.

Got this email today from a website and I am wondering how do I report them to G?

(email shortened to just the violation)

the website is backgroundbeat [dot] com and obviously, the only ads on the site are adsense.

Who/where do I report this violation too?

Here is the info for reporting Adsense TOS violations......

    https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=18386

Also, make sure that is was in fact the website in question that sent the email. I could be a competitor trying to get the website banned. Just check the "originating IP address" in the full header of the email you received.

Let's try to avoid starting another one of these threads. I'm certain that a simple search on Google would have sufficed in answering this thread’s query, so why anyone would not attempt that rather than boasting their findings is beyond me. I don't mean to sound harsh, but if you want to do a good deed - you need not brag about it under the disguise of a question. Johann Wolfgang once said, “the deed is everything, the glory is naught.” That's just my opinion; take it as you will.

Hardly any glory in this, doing the right thing is not optional (imo), but a duty of all. Considering nearly every post in the adsense forum seems to be looking for a way to skirt the TOS, I don't expect many allies on this (if any at all, save for the answer I needed).

I did do a search, but only yielded results like "how to report paid links", etc. hence the thread.

Yeah well post count and join date doesn't show how we are. It doesn't tell if we like to be an a$$ to people or nice. Like c`mon. Forget it. Why do all these sh!t? Just forget it. Send them an email saying that its against TOS and not to do it again.

That's fine if you don't agree, but you'd be remiss to believe that you know the entirety of the story and to assume it begins here.

That said, fraud is fraud; Be it click or otherwise, it is still stealing.

Yeah true but some beginners don't know that. They ask their friends to click. They don't know that its click fraud. That's why we should teach them and if they don't stop then we kick their butt by reporting them.

Well again, there is a back ground to this situation (that I would prefer not to go into, however, I will say it is nothing personal between the site/owner and I). The owner is no "n00b" to domains nor to adsense and is familiar with the terms and has been "warned" about this type of activity in the past. (Admittedly, not this exact circumstance)

I agree, they are breaking the TOS but if I reported everyone I saw breaking it I would do nothing else.

Why does THIS GUY piss you off soo mutch?

    He will get caught.

Well honestly this is the first time I've reported someone, so I doubt G will do much about it.

This began with crimes against children in the owners recent past. There are a multitude of other reasons why I stay involved/up to date on his activities, but that is the catalyst.

why dont we concentrate on getting more from adsense for our sites than look at banning other sites..

Trust me, it gets worse than the following (there are still things going on), bit this is the first documentation.

Do a search of his arrest record here:
    http://www.ojs.dekalbga.org
Choose the tab that says "Criminal Case Search." The case number is 04CR3427. Be sure that under "Case Status", you select "All". Several counts of child molestation and child pornography.

His name is Brett Arthur Schult, if you need to verify, his IMDB listing is as Brett Arthur (from his Mug Shot and IMDB Head Shot, you can verify it is the same guy)

Allow me to do some "safety" here though too, if one feels the need to do a google on his name, be cautious as there is another Brett Arthur Schult who is into some kind of civil war re-enactment stuff and definately not the same guy.

OMFG! I hate this guy as much as you do now. How did you end up with all these? Are you like some sort of cop or something? I'm with you. If you need help then let me know. I'll do everything I can.

    Sorry I misjudged you before.

Well it's even more interesting if you do research on him and find him on Spamcop and various email scam things he has done... the guys criminal ways are all over the board. from e-crime to pedophilia to stalking and harassment of some major players in Hollywood... (hence why he hasn't had a gig for so long)

Anyways, lest I get dinged on points here for making the thread off topic, I'll end it here. Thanks for your input(s) and feedback.
