To tell you the truth I believe that Google is actually missing out on a huge opportunity in NOT allowing ads on adult sites(considering the number out there). I know they probably have this policy in place to prevent the ads from being shown on "ILLEGAL" sites. But Google does show adult ads ON google and the immediate network.

The particular page you showed above does have some images that are probably against the TOS. Chances are a page like this will show nothing but psa's.

It may be against Google's TOS, but it seems that there is no harm being done to anyone participating. The advertisers are getting what they want, the webmaster is getting what he wants, and the visitors are getting what they wants. I don't see how you can correlate allowing gay-related sites into the system as leading to "open season" for content-less MFA sites (which I'm assuming you're referring to). And as well, how exactly does allowing gay-related sites lead to advertisers pulling out? If you're an advertiser, do you go into a store and ask, "Do you cater to gays, too, because if you do, I'm not gonna advertise", even though all you're interested in is selling computers? What does one subject have to do with the other?

Google's own self-imposed (but apparently unenforced) TOS notwithstanding, my original response remains the same:

The webmaster is getting what he wants, the visitor is getting what he wants, and the advertisers are getting what they want -- so who is being harmed here? Answer: No one.

    Case closed.

Strange this i had a site that has been registered since 1999 yet had a very high PR until just over a year ago.. This site is a gambling site and i run adsense on it. I wrote to Google asking why my site does not list on it anymore. 2 Days later my site was back on Google with a good position and after checking the PR i see that it is predicted to go back to where it was over a year ago.

Why i mention this is aparantly gambling is against the Google ToS i asked google to relist my site and they did with no problems if they had issues with the Adsense etc then sorry they would of refused ot list it until i took that off. Google make a lot of money out of the ad clicks on my site, i do not think they will shoot themselves in their own foot by taking that revenue away from themselves.

There are 1000 upon thousands of sites out there running adsense on porno, gambling etc and google make a shed load of money, Adwords and adsense is where there revenue is mostly. Do not think they will stop this if they do then it is bad business sense.

I will agree it is wrong to have something in a ToS and not action it but i personally think it is to widespread to control. Also a key point why alow clients to have Adword ads on porn, gambling if they are not allowed to be displayed in adword sponsored links and adsense it doesnt add up.

I guess I didn't express myself clearly enough. I have nothing against gays or anything like that. The point I was trying to make is that if Google doesn't enforce their ToS, then it opens the door for everyone to break that ToS right, left and center.

Google can't go around and tell one publisher it's fine to put Adsense on a porno/gambling site, and then later tell someone else that they aren't allowed to (or ban them for doing so). The reason for the ToS being there is to tell ALL publishers what's permitted or not... and should be enforced across the board.

Any porn sites reported for running AdSense do get priority for the AdSense being blocked on the site. But someone still needs to report the sites they see it on.

I hardly think someone posting images sexual in nature along with unrelated narrartive text is a porn site. Anyhow, what difference does it make to others anyway. How did you get to this site anyhow? Looking for porn yourself?

I think your efforts are better spent policing your own life and not others.

I have my own take on people who report other blogs.

    1. They're jealous that someone's making money.
    2. they went looking for porn, thats why they landed on a porn site.
    3. They're too jobless.

Get a life, and live and let live. And by the way for you idiots to be enlightened, Google will NOT ban those sites. Do you have any friggin idea how much revenue they bring Google?

    Get lost now, whiners

Man, you have my vote my friend. Hit the nail right on the head. I have never understood why people are so bent upon meddling in others issues. If a porn site troubles you, dont go there..why the hell do they have to whine about it?
have a good day my friend

Why care? Google has to, to an extent, because it deals with public image. There are advertisers who don't want to be displayed on porn, gambling, and etc sites. Google had to address those advertisers concerns.

On the other hand, since publishers only have to get one site approved to put Google on any and every site they have, Google has opened up their own pandora box so to speak. I would have thought that Google would have reaized that publishers could and some would take serious advantage of this. If Google really wanted to patrol what ads were on which site, they would have required each and every site to be approved whether or not a publisher already had a previous site approved.
