in a few years time, you would be asking who the hell uses GB anymore? harddisk space is never enough. file sizes grow so there is tendency you need larger harddisk space.
same as mine! 1 seagate the other is maxtor. i really got bad experience with maxtor harddisk in the past and now. my current maxtor onetouch mini external cant be detected!
I wouldn't trust a 1TB drive... I prefer keeping my files on different (smaller) drives, so I'm able to keep backups. And if one drive breaks, I don't lose everything. Imagine losing 1TB of files...
fianlly someone who makes sense and isn't OMG 1TB...if you ask me 1TB should have been here about 1.6 years ago. my time lapse videos? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=381170 26GB and counting
I have 500gb internal and 120gb external to carry my music and funs stuffs. 80gb of music files, 180gb DVD's and about 50gb games and softwares. BTW, you are underestimating the disk drive usage. People who are into multimedia really use 1000+ gigabites. My friends has about 580gb of only music files, more than 100 DVD movies and it is increasing everyday. He has all together 3500gb of disk space to pamper himself and is thinking of buying another seagates 2*500GB external disk for his upcoming collection. As the rate of disk space is decreasing it seems people are finding more reasons to save any sort of files.
I have a 350GB internal HD and a 500GB external one - 850GB in total dell do 1TB hardrives apparently, and possibly a few others too
Desktop: mine is a sata 250GB for the Main, External 160GB for backup 500GB for pictures, External 500GB for B/U 360?GB for other pictures LT: 60GB 7200rpm, 80GB 5400RPM for BU Old DT: like 2-250GB and 1-160Gb or something like that. Then I have have like 5 drives I've killed...well they committed the suicide on me, I didn't kill them. Oh, then I have a 5GB running w98se on a Celeron 300a...yeah, that is the screamer of the bunch...namely me screaming @ it while I wait for stuff to happen ...actually we use it for my daughter's pre-school games and with nothing else on it...it's astounding how fast it shuts down...if you have a full complement of programs on the other hand...good luck!
i would appreciate if somebody could help me on my issue. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=753211
