TTLV - Tim's Time Lapse Video(s)

Just got a new toy that lets me record time lapse video

~ 1 frame a second up to an hour which give me a 4 minute video.

Some might call it a silly distraction, I call it a excuse to do some video editing which I love to do but no longer have much time for

who's the youtube expert?

I posted a new video, same frame rate, resolution, nearly the same file size, etc but the quality is significantly worse.

in fact it looks like 55% of all the other pixelated videos on youtube that drives me insane.

does anyone have a good settings they feel is the best possible to use with YT?

the original video is 640x480 (AVI)

it's retarded but Vegas Video does not recognize the file so I have to import the file into Movie Maker and then save it as a WMV (V9).

Then I pop it into Vegas, run it @ 720x480 and render @ 3MBps.

am I murdering it by all of the 'conversion' avi--->wmv--->wmv?

I think you may have your speakers a bit too close to the fish tank. Better move them before the PETA people come knocking at your door!

I think it's more interesting with the effects. The soundtrack on this one is much better than your fish video. Does the fish like it better too?

thanks for the effects vote. I thought so too but I don't have any idea...what I like might not be even close to normal...that's why I needed an outsider's take on the whole situation.

that would be cool. have you ever seen glass being melted and molded? it's awesome. hotter than the blazes but very cool to watch. I need to go and visit the place in VT, you can stand on a cat walk and watch the floor down below where they make glassware

Yes. Once while on vacation in Estes Park, CO, we stopped at a glass blowers shop. There were benches around his work area. We stayed and watched for an hour or so!
