Hello everyone, I've been with adsense since 2005, started out by making a few cents daily to finally reaching the goal of making an average 90-100$ daily in the past six months. However, starting early February till now the sixth of March ecpm dropped by over 60%, sometimes reaching 70%. Same traffic, same ctr, but I'm barely making over 30$ daily. Yea, I know adsense isn't stable, but now it's over a month and things seems to be not changing. I guess it's not smartpricing, because I keep reading in lots of forums and news, that alot of people are also experiencing a drop. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=59567 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=735337 (this guy down from making 4-6k a month to 1k! and many more... Some people are throwing around the word recession? Google stock plummeting? Is it true? and how long do you expect this to last? Damn, if it's true we are in for a rough ride, since during "recession" the first thing companies let go of, is advertising! .. and finally what are your alternatives?
Well anyone who is making some decent money with AdSense/Online advertising would have noticed a slump by now. I've been increasing my revenue however by continuing to SEO, manage, etc. That's actually the only [best] suggestion I give to anyone at this point--just don't give up. Bumpy ride right now, but things are still alright if you can continue to "grow." Some of my niches are actually doing alright; some have just gone to crap. Diversify...
Yea I guess you have to do the double the work. If 20,000 impressions used to get you lets 50 $, now you need 40,000 to get that same 50$!
ooza, here is what I think has happened: Google's earnings started to suck, so they are taking more of the cut from AdSense to prop up their earnings. In other words, Google sucks. This practice (if it is true that this is happening) is not illegal, but it is highly unethical. AdSense got to paying so little for me that I moved over to publishing audio ads, and make a lot more there now. I will probably never use AdSense again - it just plain sucks.

The Google stock is indeed plummeting as are Google's revenues. Until the economy gets out of this severe slump, you can expect revenues to continue to drop. As Fka2000 has said above, it's time to diversify your income streams and hope for more return. Continue building sites and you'll be ready once the economy gets back on course.
What's it got to do with anything. Anyway, here's a tip: try making a real web site. You know, where you actually write your own stuff instead of copying others. What a novel idea.

from 8k month to 2k adsense is not the right solution for a website that generate 20million impression a day.. Actually I m selling my CPM for 6-8$ it's really better.. Got more than 10k/day traffic from each country : US / CA / FR / ES / NL / DE
