adsense earnings down over 4k for month, where are you turning

just wondering what others are doing to offset huge losses in adsense. I know I'm not alone. What advertising networks have you had decent luck with? I've never had a swing this large in payout with the traffic/clicks being basically the same. I know some months may change slightly, but being with adsense for years now, I've never had anything this low. First screen oct, 2nd screen jan. Jan has over 300k more impressions, yet it's over 4 thousand dollars less.

I've actually talked with some of the big advertisers personally, and they told me they are not spending less per month on advertising with adsense. They said their budget during these months were identical. So where does all of this money go? It has to be sitting in google's pockets, because they screwed me on payout.





I need ads to offset expenses, but I don't want to throw adult oriented or spyware bs on my site.

name any company you have been able to keep funds somewhat steady. I'm open to suggestions, because at this point, I literally might toss adsense off the site after this

Wow, that hurts. Sorry to see those figures - do you think it has something to do with the recession or something?

You might consider large affiliate networks like CJ and promoting relevant affiliate offers.

I suspect Google is paying the publisher less and less
money. It is an unbelievable and even ridiculous
contract WE publishers agree to. Google simply says
to us, "We will share a percent of what the advertisers
pay us, one day it can be .01 another day it can be .85"
but im sure when they have to report quarterly earnings
the publishers that used to get .85 will get .05 for the
same click..and what is the publisher to do? if Yahoo is no
competition or no other responsible contextual network exists
to run to?

I think the recession is having an effect on our earnings.

 

There is no recession. You dummies don't even know the definition of recession, but you keep using it incorrectly. A recession is 2 consecutive quarters of negative economic growth. The United States is yet to have a single economic quarter with negative economic growth. Our economic growth has slowed down, but it still has grown, but at a slower pace. (Thats NOT a recession).

 

In the academic economic sense you're correct, but you're wrong! We are in a recession! Look at the depreciating dollar (we're looking at another 75 basis point cut, Is the Fed insane???), appreciating commodity prices, and depreciating housing prices. We're in a recession alright!

 

wow, you earn so good from your adsense. how many unique visitors do you get per day? coz usually i only got $2 to $3 per day

 

Looks like you've been smart priced....

I know a few people who've set up an LLC & signed up for a new account, then replaced one with the other to see earnings go back to normal (i.e. unsmartpriced).

Could just be that your traffic is not converting for the advertisers.

I have no feedback about other publishers, but given the numbers involved i suggest you experiment yourself. Try Yahoo, try ClickJunction, whatever, on some of your pages, and compare the results. Pick the best.

adsense has started to suck, I was not getting that much payout, but it has gone down to 30%, if I was getting $1000 now am onlay getting $300 from last month, and its going down everyday, I am getting $10-$15 where I used to get $60-$70.. this is ridiculous..

 

Damm that's a big fall hope to get bether soon ....

 

dont you think its coincidence that the fall started on the first day of the month, impressions went up... so it begs the question... what other PPC networks would you recommend?

 

thats bad man sometimes you have like 1000 more impressions and 20$ less whats well poo. hope it picks up
