I started out with an Idea about a Ecommerce site a little over a year and a half ago...I took $40 went to yahoo and bought a Ecommerce platform, found wholesalers, got business license etc....It took me 3 months to build and by the time it was up and running for 4 months it hit the 5 figure mark...Year to date it has done over 90K in sales and I just sold it recently to someone here on DP for 50K http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=560115

So to sum it up I made this year over 100K pure profit...Why was this possible and why am I ditching Ecommerce for Adsense? It's possible because I have the drive, I network alot, I studied SEO for 3 years before I attempted building this site to make sure it would be a success and not fail...

Why am I getting into Adsense? Because Adsense will become more profitable as the years come...more advertisers are spending money and more advertisers are getting in the game...so that means increased profits if your in the right niche....Adsense is auto pilot for the most part besides SEO and minor updates....

Why do I think I will make even more money with adsense than with a Ecommerce site? Because I will have more free time because I will not be answering phone calls, emails, shipping products, updating stock status of inventory.....Adsense is very lucrative if you know what to do and when to do it....So do not give up....

I am always willing to help others on a one on one basis if you can bring something to the table as well....So if you are a programmer, web designer, article writer whatever.....PM me......

this is a nice thread,,,all these threads that tell
of personal success stories are good to read.
    it kinda serves as inspiration.

'course sometimes I think it's Google employees
coming in here and posting them
    - LOL

But still, they work on me :)

I didn't keep the store because it was really holding me back from really growing.....It really seemed like all of my time was focusing on customer emails, phone calls, updating products and so on....So really getting into adsense and really making some huge freakin sites with a huge foundation of smaller sites surrounding one big major site is the way to go for me....More free time...Its almost money on Auto Pilot .....If you do it correctly ;)

Definitely don't work for G...You can make a fortune on the net relatively easy once you learn how...They've always said the world is an SEO's Oyster...Well I think the world is an SEO's money tree ;)
