I have average CTR of 2.5%. I have read some article says it is low,but I do not trust it.

    Is it really low??

2.5 is ok. Some people get 0.5%, some get 25%.

Depends on the site. Not all sites are alike using AdSense. Your CTR would be really good for a forum, but bad for a content site.

    2.5 is not bad. I say >1% = bad. <5% = VERY good.

Your CTR could be better. Although you may be told that 2.5% is OK, it can always be better. Most serious money-making Adsense sites will average at least 25% for the best performing pages. My top 20 pages average over 50% and the highest page is 75%. Overall, including pages that don't do well (receive zero clicks), my site average (from yesterday) is 9.85%.

My results didn't just happen overnight. It took a lot of time, experimentation, and hard work -- and patience. There are no "tricks" or "secrets" -- just the same techniques and practices that you'll find stated over and over in this forum.

Therefore, don't accept 2.5% as being OK. It's a good start but not a place to stop and be satisfied. Keep working at it.

Try to determine why your CTR is low. Are the Google ads relevant to the topic of your page and to the interests of the readers of that page? Do your ads look like they are part of your overall site design? Are the ads integrated with the content on your pages? Are you using the most productive ad formats (300 and 336 pix rectangles)? Does your site disappoint your visitors and cause them to leave before they see your ads? Is your content so compelling that it makes your visitors want to visit more of your site (keeps them around longer to click on ads)? Is your site so good that it totally satisfies your visitors such that they have no desire to click on ads for additional information? Are your visitors regulars who have become blind to ads?

It looks good but it depends many other factors. If you wanna get >%20 for example it sometimes mean that most of your users do not see your content and your visitor loyalty may go down. There should be a balance between your content and ads...

    Very comprehensive - (rep.ed)

One key analysis for your page is to keep track of the bounce rate -- always try to keep it low : )) tweak and tweak.

I fully agree and can confirm such numbers as achievable for any large mixed topic site with large volume traffic ( in excess of 10k uv/d ).
a site-wide average around 10% is achievable and should definitely be a benchmark-goal for adsense optimization.
We have discussed howto achieve such "normal" adsense optimized result in extensive earlier threads - example:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=228283
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=237454
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=178570

just take your time and learn to be successful by applying what makes other publishers happy.
    Beware:
whatever creates a better generic revenue for you also means more generic customers for your site-advertisers and happier G as well.
The key is to get generic clicks vs accidental clicks.
I have long time ago move away from "blending" techniques - such as applied often in link units HERE in DP forum, or man other sites more hiding than presenting their ad-unites.
my advertisers are my key income - hence they deserve a seat in the "front row" - meaning >> ATF placements !
I have successfully tested and applied a placement / color scheme that makes all ads clearly visible as ads to avoid accidental clicking by site-visitors believing theiy still would click on my pages.

    2.5% is a good start...

How many ads do you have on a typical page? You have to consider that typically a page displaying 3 ads per page load will have a lower CTR that a page displaying only one ad per page load.

It's Ok but you must realize that many people are getting anywhere from 40% and up like myself.
