Another PR Degrade On Directories?

It's strange. Looks like Google ain't stopping.
I was approving some listings today morning. After approval i just went to recent listings page to check if everything was looking fine. However to my astonishment, i saw the PR0 on my toolbar window for the inner pages. I browsed through others pages on my directory and all had a big fat 0.
Then i checked other popular web directories and saw the same trend everywhere.
All inner pages and subdomains at PR0. Another G Crap

I think that's the best option to do. Remove google toolbar and enjoy your work.

You could add a lot more juice to you directory by using nofollow on the links that don't really matter, but I understand you most likely generate lots of traffic from them.

Sorry to hear about your PR.

Google is really playing a lot of tricks, as suggested the best way to deal with this is to remove the Google toolbar from the system & work.

I'm actually glad to see this, it simply a verification that PR is not a useful indicator for anyone. If anyone is still linking for the benefit of PR, they are making a big mistake. Here today, gone tomorrow.. The originator of PR is starting to remind me of what we call QBC around here.... :D

Not just directories; a blog of mine today lost everything. The only thing I can THINK of is that i put a link in DP ~ 72 hours ago...

Is DP becoming a VERY dangerous place?

Nope, none of my sig link got hit..

Actually i have gained more in terms of serps with a DP sig link

I now have 2 blogs plummet to a PR 0, and a lot of my friends seems to be experiencing a google onslaught on their blogs.

Selling paid reviews could be the sin

i would have to lean towards that thought myself..maybe they are realising that if they dont want PPL to buy and sell PR,then just do away with it,or make the numbers appear so small that its irrevelent

It's a seriously flawed system its like a net company trying to control an Oil Refinery with TDC its doable for
10's of thousands of control data links and even 100's of thousands of control points controlled by Honeywell, Johnson Controls or similar but not controlled by a net company

Basically Mr G is trying to monitor billions of feeds going to hundred of DC's when at the same time the net is registering upwards of 8 million new live sites per month--------- they have to be joking

They want to deceive the un-informed or un-educated that they can control data in real time with accuracy

Now is the time to stop deceiving folks and realize that your system cannot do that

The system is FLAWED & IN-ACCURATE and in its present format will stay that way :)

Just forget about PR and concentrate more on traffic.
