Hi All, Now one of my sites went down in PR this update from PR3 to PR2 not very happy but hey it happens, but i have checked my site today and all my pages that had PR have gone to PR0 The homepage the was PR2 in now PR0 Mazoo The blog this was also PR2 now down to PR0 Any idea why this has happened? is it temporary? has anything similar happen to anyone else recently??
These days, I don't really care about PageRank. It was a hype over the last couple of years, but now, I think SERP is more important.
What is this SERP and how can I learn more? Sorry don't mean to hijack your thread and like the other guys said page rank doesn't mean anything ignore it or just uninstall the tool bar
SERP is basically referring to Search Engine ranking - which particularly aimed at getting high up the search engine rank (not page rank) by keywords.
ok so when I type in phpbb pre modded and I am 3rd or 4th in Google this is called excellent SERP http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=phpbb+pre+modded&btnG=Search&meta=
well SERP's are good, and still good, for now... not really too concerned about loosing the pagerank but will be devastated if i loose the SERPS.
SERPs are important indeed.. .. But it s a bit annoying with that PR. Especially when you see that they dont play fair.
Don't be so surprise at Google try to link with relevance site and it will be back again.Try to focus on your SERP.
Dont worry. Have you been doing anything that may have upset Google? Either way...PR doesnt mean much at all now (unless you want to sell links!) and as long as yoru Serps are ok...you will be fine. I know a few people who have had PR drops and their serps have stayed identical, so dont panic
Also, if you believe you have not done anything wrong... Co Ops, link selling etc Then you can always contact Google using webmaster tools. They may well give you your PR back if you are innocent
Not a big drop. Why not focus your attention on building organic backlinks? And also make sure that you checked PR using a reliable like digpagerank.com not many other tools which shows PR N/A as PR0.
