I hover over the thread title, and the Alt or Thread Preview provides enough info to see "I want to buy" or "I'm selling" so i never find it a problem.

I think it would make it alot eaiser to identify whats for sale and what's wanted. I have clicked 3 things with the title rapidshare or rapidshare premium and they have all been WTB not WTS :S

Start your own thread for WTB rapidshare accounts then.

Thank you all for your positive feedback on my idea. I see there 1 or 2 of you disagreesing syaing to use the Tooltips etc.. The reason I brought this up is because I think it will increase the efficancy of buyer and sellers to find the sale threads that interest them. If interested to buy, then just scan threw and look to WTB in the thread title etc.. much time saved for everybody.

Edit: I see the mods have not said anything.. actually I don't know who the mods are. But they must be thinking its a good idea if you haven't locked the thread yet..lol

This system would greatly reduce the amount of time I would need to sift through the many ambiguous threads posted over a weekend or absence.

When many people create a thread, you can't often tell if it's buying or selling, and you waste time on irrelevant offers opening the thread or mouse-hovering over the post. Sometimes it's faster just to ignore the thread and move on, but consistency would be preferred.

Would it make things easier to find? Yes
Would it create another rule that if broken you get an infraction? Yes
Would it create more work for the mods? Absolutely

I personally think this would just create another possible infraction and we do not need any more of those. It could be a good suggested way to do things but to make it a rule that you get an infraction for is absurd. JMO

I support this idea as well.

IMO it should be mandatory just like v7n's marketplace.

This is a neat idea, and could work as long as it was enforced with infractions...

Still not categorized, but a bit nicer...

If you want to make [WTS] and [WTB] a rule, then you'll need all those mini ones too.

My god, can't believe I forgot those !!

Anyways, as you can see, its not that great.

If there is some kind of mod, or if it can programmed in vB perhaps. Like when you create a thread in B/S/T it'll ask you if you're selling, buying, trading, or other.

    You click what you're doing.

Now when someone looks at all the threads, they all have special icons next to them. like a 'For Sale' sign for WTS, a 'Wanted' sign for WTB. Then give them an option to sort by sign, and voila. You have it done.

thats sounds a little better, but would be hard to implement.
Lets not get off topic here, I can see this thread starting to get offtopic a bit. This is about just reminding members who are selling or to buy to use WTS or WTB in their thread titles.

Perhaps a sticky thread in those forums to remind members to use this would work, but not be mandoray. (Which saves mod work) but explain in the thread that using WTB or WTS will help potentional buyers get to your thread.. Sound good..

I dont know if it should be a rule but it is a good suggestion. I agree that this does make it easier to find what you want. Don't forget WTT for tradeing:) Usually I can read the titles and tell if the thread is a sales thread or a wanted thread w/o that info but this might help some people. I do search specifically for WTB threads sometimes.

This will also limit the creativity of all the participants and make it monotonous. The more creative attracts more attention - one of the basics for marketing.
