[Suggestion] A simple solution to create a divide to identify the buy & sell threads

    Hello,

There have been a demand/suggestion for some time from number of DPians that the Buy, Sell or Trade forum may be separated to make it a little easier to find the kind of post is looking for.

Obviously that poses a lot of work in creating sub-forums for each of the sub-forum within "Buy, Sell or Trade" and it might clutter the entire forum too.

I have a small and simple suggestion to achieve this by using Thread Prefixes. There is a VB hack/modification available to make this happen. See this hack available over here:

    http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=123033

This modification can allow DPians to choose a thread prefix for each thread. To do this they have to select an appropriate prefix from a list beside the title while posting a new thread - 'Sell', 'Want to Buy' and 'Trade'

This is how users can select appropriate prefix while making a new thread:

This is how the forum would look like:

This hack/modification will make it a lot easier to search/identify Buy or Sell threads. This would also not require creation of new sub-forums.

A humble request, Is this something that could be done at DP?

great idea. usually some DPers are nice enough to put WTB, WTS and what not in front of their titles. but most others do not, and it's hard to look for those.

That looks good, but are those Thread Prefixes searchable and/or sortable?
