[WTS] &[WTB] should be made a Rule in the buy/sell

I think sellers and buyers should have to put [WTB] or [WTS] in the start of their titles in some of the subforums in buy/sell like the link sales and Site sales subforums. This would make it alot faster for a buyer or seller to scan threw the thread titles.

For noobs,

WTB = Want to buy
WTS = Want to sell

Anyone else agree?

Plus the search function would like 10x better you just a have to type 'wts' or 'wtb' and hit search and get recent threads.

 

YEs, that would make it easier for advertisers/publishers to read relevant threads

 

Agreed, make a custom tag when you go into the thread post screen and you have to select, WTB, WTS, WTE (want to exchange).

Great suggestion, though that would make mods more busy.. (deleting threads or renaming).

 

I search for [WTB] every few days and rummage through the last weeks worth of threads. So if [WTB] is not in the title I'll not see the thread, because of that, I guess I'm for the idea...but not a tag, unless the tag is searchable. If I can't separate the selling & buying, it's still too cluttered, so *shrug*

Regardless of whether or not it's a rule, i do support it's use, in fact, I'll not sell to a buyer that does not use it in most instances, because I'd not see the thread.

 

I think it's a great idea too... It seems to be pretty standard among the savvy buyers and sellers, but occassionaly the un-savvy newbies have something interesting to buy or sell...

Dollar has a bit different suggestion. [WTB] & [WTS] tags in thread's title.

90% of the threads created in Sites, Domains & Link Sales are people selling... And for the wanted to buy, people do often use [WTB] because these threads are in the minority.

So i think it's fine without being mandatory, if people don't create descriptive titles they may not get a great response which is their problem.. They will learn. I spend most my time in the BST section and don't find it an issue.

When you hover over a title, the Alt or Description pop-up text usually provides enough info to save needlessly cliking on an irrelevant thread.

maybe there could be a mod created that will automatically prompt and require all thread starters in BST to state if their thread is buy or sell.

Yep [WTB] and [WTS] so be made compulsory so that it becomes easier for the buyers or Sellers

 

Oh man, this is one of the best suggestions so far this YEAR! Please mods/admin make this a rule, it would make my/many others/ lives much much easier in the buy/sell forums!

I think its a good idea and will make make BST section more handy.

no certainly not for one or two thread..
but what about pages and pages of hundreds of threads?
