Buy, Sell & Trade - Merge Forums/Create New Sub-Forums

This is just an idea, but since some work is being done regarding this sub-forum, I have 1 suggestion to make:

The Link Sales Sub-Forum is getting crowded with offers and buyers that most of the time don't identify if they're buying or selling stuff.

I'd suggest merging the Link Sales and Link Exchange Forum into 1 and only and then creating 3 sub forums: Buy, Sell, Trade

It would look like this:

Links
|
|--> Buy
|--> Sell
|--> Trade

Am I getting nuts or is this doable?

 

WTB and WTS sub-forums divisions have been suggested before also..

I think the whole B/S/T section needs more categories overall for it... but this definitely would be a great start!

Since shawn actually listened to our need for a freebie forum... perhaps he will keep listening to the community on these issues

even if we dont get Trade section its ok
but there is a need of Buy and Sell in Link Sales

Thought I'd be flamed for this...

I believe the Trade section is important, in any case I'd create the 3 subforums and wouldn't allow posting at the main one, else the "mess" would re-start.

It's Shawn's decision in any case, he'd have a good reason if he didn't want to do this.

Damn good idea and it should be implemented ASAP.

In fact, the entire BST forums should get a complete redo.

This is an excellent idea; I've always thought that the place was way overcrowded.

If you haven't noticed, your thread will end up on the second page within a couple of hours in that section.

 

It is a good idea but who will have the time to move all the threads into 3? Will take very long time dont think he will have the time.

 

There are two options:
1) Use the magic as he did with the freebie section.
2) Forget about the old threads.

 

Every move has it's costs.... I'm sure Shawn has the magic to do it somehow, in any case he can create a fourth forum (temporary) called graveyard

Come on people, please keep sending your inputs! I'm sure that if you use that forums you'll agree with me.
