Don't purchase that e-book about selling your proxy for $300/week. It's basically he took the information in this thread and other resources on this board and put them together. It's nothing but a waste of time! If you have a proxy, you're already doing what this ebook says to do.
Thanks for that advice, will now update the code and see what happens, does this have the html widgetbucks url in it?
Anyone have a proxy website that allows videos? I want to check the speed, might enable it for mine, cheers
I just posted a free hotlinking script for zelune you can find it at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=529741
Hi Rison....green applied for that tip Thinking of trying a zelune proxy, my proxies are all phproxy, i'm not really interested in the "which proxy script is best argument" but does zelune have any benefits over phproxy with regard to websense and other filters in your experience. I'm looking for a script that doesn't get blocked as quick as the popular phproxy without having to pay mega dollars for custom scripts Regards
Thanks for the rep Personally i like Zelune over phproxy. I find it is quicker to load and doesn't take as much server resources, But that is just my opinion. I have heard i doesn't get blocked as quick as phproxy but i haven't had either script long enough to find out so i can't comment on that. Over all i think Zelune is better but is lacking Mods thats why most people go with phproxy i think. I am now talking to php programmers to try and get some mods for zelune, if anyone knows anyone that could program some for me pm me there contact details (i will pay). In the end it is totally up to you as everyones opinions differ. Matt
The only cure against Websense is https. You can get a dedictated IP, install a self-signed certificate (I know it looks ugly on IE) and run your proxy from there. If that's not an option, try surrogafier script
The updated code doesnt have the forced link. Though you really should put another ad where the text is so you dont waste those impressions.
Hey will you guys check out this thread and give me some advice please. Its proxy related http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=530121
Simon, I'm not just saying this, but theres a *lot* more to take into consideration if you're running a proxy host when compared to normal hosting. Whats the plan when your users sites start getting hammered silly by China, and then the spammers find them, and you get loads of abuse reports from your provider and they want to shut the server off unless you can fix it etc etc. I'd suggest working these issues out first.
Thanks Emirates Here is my proxy hsoting thread if anybody is interested http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=531207 I offer a 3 day free trial for you to try before you buy
Thanks for mentioning above, I was thinking about offering some proxy hosting to members as well, because I have a good size dedicated server and tons of room for more sites on it. Now I will have to think about this.
